The second Saturday of each month this summer April- September has been designated for aluminum can pick-up for recycling.

The first can pick up will be on Saturday, April 10th!  Have your cans bagged and securely tied by the curb by 9:00AM at the latest.  Crews will be around to collect them.

This has been a successful way to raise money for our annual fireworks show over the Independence Day weekend.  We need your participation so that we are able to continue this popular event...fireworks are not cheap!  Thank you for your donations!

Unfortunately, we've had can poachers in the past, so we ask that you try to put the cans out Saturday morning and not Friday night, if possible.

The annual Independence Day weekend fireworks display will be shot as the skies darken around 10:00PM on Saturday, July 3rd.  We anticipate this years show to be as exciting as ever!

Since the fireworks will be shot off barges again this year, we ask that boats keep a safe distance from the barge which will be anchored about 50 feet from shore by the Loon Lisle Nature Reserve.  Also, after 4:00PM, we ask all wake boats to stay as far away from the barges as possible for the safety of the workers and volunteers running fuses to the explosives for the fireworks show.

Thank you to all those who donate and volunteer to help make the Loon Lake fireworks show great, year after year!
